Hi, Tree is a kinetic installation that emphasises plants’ reaction to people’s language and the surrounding world. Inspired by Ikea’s experiment “Bully A Plant: Say No To Bullying”, the installation tries to prove that the plants have senses to the outside world and respond to it in their way. The installation uses a few sensors to detect different outputs like noise, distance, light etc., as signals and then trigger the plants’ movements.
